Dr. George Oguntala is a currently Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Engineering at Birmingham City University. United Kingdom. He is the Programme Lead of the MSc Medical Imaging Technology and the Deputy Programme Lead of the MSc Health Data Science and Clinical Informatics.

In previous roles, George Oguntala has professionally worked as a Staff Engineer, Consultant and Chief Executive Officer within the Electronics and RF Communication Industry and Digital Health. Between 2021 – 2024, George was invited as an honorary Research Fellow with the Department of Biomedical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Bradford.

Dr. Oguntala holds a BSc in Electronics and Computer Engineering, MBA in Human Resources Management, MSc in Systems Engineering with focus on Engineering Analysis and a PhD in Electrical Engineering. He is a member of the UKRI EPSRC Peer Review College, Expert Reviewer for the National Institute of Health Research and the Royal Society, UK. Dr. Oguntala is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical Electronics Engineers, Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Chartered Engineer.
