Associate Professor Slobodan Tanasković, MD, PhD, is Head of the Clinic for Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the National Institute for Heart and Blood Vessels “Dedinje”, Belgrade, Serbia. He is a Senior Research Associate, a member of the Executive Board of the Serbian Association of Cardiovascular Surgeons, and a member of the National Commission for Vascular Surgery. He serves as the Serbian National Representative of the SerbVasc Registry within the European Vascunet network of vascular registries. Ass. Prof. Tanasković MD PhD has authored 232 scientific publications, including 113 papers in JCR-indexed journals, with more than 1,700 citations (h-index 21). His research has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the University of Belgrade School of Medicine Annual Scientific Award (2024). His clinical and research expertise encompasses carotid artery disease, abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) treatment, peripheral arterial disease, diabetic foot management, and the development of innovative technologies in vascular surgery. He is the inventor and co-inventor of several patents and leads research focused on integrating infrared thermography, 3D modeling, artificial intelligence, and innovative software platforms into the diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases, with a particular emphasis on clinical decision support and personalized vascular care. He speaks English fluently, married and father of three.
