Amal Ali Mana Atran is a Saudi faculty member in the Chemistry Department at Najran University. She holds a Master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from King Khalid University, with both degrees focusing on catalysis. Her research interests include catalysis, adsorption, renewable energy, and environmental sustainability.Dr. Atran has numerous scientific contributions, including publications on hydrogenation, photocatalysis, and wastewater treatment. She has presented her work at international conferences, covering topics like enhancing photocatalytic activity and the functionalization of cerium oxide nanoparticles.Her work has been recognized with awards, including a Ph.D. with first honors and a U.S. patent for functionalized porous ceria used in water and air purification. Additionally, she is actively involved in academic committees and curricular activities.

Lin Jiang is currently an Associate Professor at Shanghai University, specializing in surface and interface control of microelectronic materials, pollution control, and clean processing techniques. She has published over 20 SCI papers in prominent journals, including Nature Communications, Materials Today, ACS Catalysis, and the Advanced Materials series. Dr. Jiang has been a key participant in multiple research projects funded by the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO) and the European Union. In 2022, he was selected for the Shanghai Overseas High-level Talent Introduction Program. Additionally, she serves as the Associate Editor for Carbon Trends, the sister journal of Carbon.

Jianguo Lu is an Associate Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at the State Key Laboratory of Silicon Materials, School of Materials Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University, China. He has held this position since 2011 and is recognized as an Outstanding and Distinguished Young Scholar of Zhejiang Province.

Dr. Lu completed his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering at Zhejiang University in 2005, following his Bachelor’s degree from Xi’an University of Technology in 2000. He also held a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship at Kyoto University in Japan from 2005 to 2007.

His research focuses on new energy and electronic materials, including semiconductor films, nanoscale materials for energy storage, and advanced coatings for marine applications.

Lili Feng earned her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Chemical Engineering from Harbin Engineering University in 2019. Following this, she joined Nanyang Technological University as a postdoctoral research fellow under the supervision of Prof. Yanli Zhao. In 2020, she was awarded the prestigious Humboldt Research Fellowship, which allowed her to move to the Center for Hybrid Nanostructures (CHyN) at Universität Hamburg, where she collaborated with Wolfgang J. Parak as a Humboldt Scholar.

In 2021, Lili Feng returned to Harbin Engineering University as an associate professor and was recognized with the National Youth Talent Program. Her research focuses on the development of theranostic technologies, particularly nano-adjuvants and delivery systems. She also works on the controlled synthesis of nanomaterials, their biological effects, and the integration of multi-modal bioimaging technologies for cancer therapy.

Emmanuel Mousset has completed his Erasmus PhD in 2013 delivered by University of Paris-Est (France), University of Cassino (Italy) and UNESCO-IHE (The Netherlands), followed by post-doc positions in National University of Singapore (NUS) and Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research (Leipzig, Germany). He is Senior Researcher at the French National Scientific Research Center (CNRS) since 2016. Dr Mousset is co-author of more than 60 indexed papers in reputed Q1 journals, co-author of 5 chapters, co-inventor of 4 patents. He has been awarded with the Carl Wagner Medal of Excellence in Electrochemical Engineering 2020 and the Green Electrochemistry Prize 2018 from ISE-Elsevier.

Dr. Yun Kong has completed his PhD from Zhejiang University (Major: Environmental Engineering) in 2013. Prior to joining Yangtze University, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the School of Environment at Nanjing University. Dr. Kong’s research has primary focused on Environmental functional materials, eutrophication control and biological treatment of wastewater. He has published more than 40 papers in Journal of Hazardous Materials, Bioresource Technology, Environmental Pollution, Applied Surface Science, Microporous and Mesoporous Materials, and other internationally renowned journals, applied for 6 invention patents, and formulated 18 national and industrial standards.
