Zhang is a Genitourinary Oncologist and Interim Vice Chair of the Department of Genitourinary Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center. He is also an Associate Professor of Oncology and Internal Medicine at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. His primary research interest is in integrating tumor evolution dynamics into the treatment for advanced prostate cancer. As the clinical research Director of Moffitt Cancer Center\u2019s Genitourinary Oncology Department, he has been the Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-Investigator of more than 50 phase I, II, and III clinical studies since joining Moffitt in July 2010. He is also the Co-Investigator of R21, R01, U01, U54 grants to study adaptive androgen deprivation therapy and immunotherapy in metastatic prostate cancer. Dr. Zhang received his medical degree from Peking Union Medical College in China, followed by a Ph.D. in pathology from the University of Southern California. He served as a post-doctoral research fellow at Children\u2019s Hospital Los Angeles, before pursuing a residency in internal medicine at New York Downtown Hospital and a fellowship in hematology\/oncology at the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Zhang has been published in numerous medical journals and is board certified in both medical oncology and internal medicine.
