He began his independent academic career with a UK NERC Fellowship in 2018, previously served as a Lecturer at <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">University of Glasgow<\/span><\/span>, and moved to Cranfield in 2019, becoming Senior Lecturer (2022) and Professor (2023). He completed postdoctoral research at <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">University of Cambridge<\/span><\/span> and was a Marie Curie Fellow at <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">University of Bath<\/span><\/span> after earning his PhD in Micro and Nanotechnology at <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">University of Lyon<\/span><\/span>. His research has attracted over \u00a320 million in funding, produced 120+ publications, patents, and international keynote talks, and has been featured in major media including <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">BBC News<\/span><\/span> and <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">The Washington
