Abstract

The rapid transformation of agriculture demands innovative strategies that integrate sustainability, productivity, and resilience to climate change. This work highlights the role of advanced digital technologies and artificial intelligence in optimising farming practices, with a focus on resource efficiency and risk management. By combining data from remote sensing, in-field sensors, and predictive modelling, it becomes possible to support farmers with timely, site-specific recommendations. The approach presented connects climate-smart agriculture with practical decision-making tools, enabling improved water use, soil health monitoring, and adaptive risk strategies against climate extremes. The discussion emphasises the potential of digital agriculture not only to enhance yields but also to strengthen environmental stewardship and resilience. These insights demonstrate how AI-driven tools can bridge the gap between scientific innovation and real-world agricultural needs, contributing to the development of sustainable and climate-resilient farming systems.
