Dr. Waleed Al-Marzooqi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Animal & Veterinary Sciences at Sultan Qaboos University, Sultanate of Oman. His research encompasses multiple aspects of meat production in farm animals, with a particular focus on gastrointestinal tract development and growth performance in both exotic and indigenous breeds. He also examines the use of agricultural by-products in the nutrition of poultry and small ruminants and applies molecular techniques to investigate how feed additives and nutrients shape the diversity and functional roles of the gastrointestinal microbiota. His scholarly work reflects a sustained dedication to advancing research, enriching academic practice, and supporting the development of future scientists within his institution and the wider academic community.
